Drip Irrigation

Drip irrigation is one of the most efficient, water-conserving forms of irrigation for non-lawn areas. It is becoming increasingly popular as a “green” watering option. Drip irrigation systems deliver the exact quantity of water needed directly to plant root zones, avoiding run-off and puddling. Other benefits of drip irrigation include increased plant health and design flexibility. We carry all the parts needed for designing and installing a drip irrigation system, including watering timers from DIG Corp, one of the top manufacturers of drip irrigation products.

There are various types of drip irrigation systems. The "standard" in drip irrigation is through emitter tubing. These can be installed above or below ground and are ideal for flower beds that surround fences, houses or trees that have plants of flowers evenly spaced. Drip emitters, foggers and microsprayers are installed on the drip tubing to water plants with more accuracy. This is for the complete automatic drip systems that hook up to the main water line and include valves, controllers/timers, and customized watering devices.

A simpler type of drip irrigation is through soaker hoses or drip tape. These hoses have tiny pourous holes in them that allow water to slowly seep out of them. The hose can be hooked up directly to an outside faucet, rain barrel or attached to the end of a garden hose. They deliver water to plants less accurately than emitter tubing but are often chosen because of their ease of installation.

We carry complete drip irrigation kits to get you started or you may browse through all of our drip irrigation kits to find the right combination that works for you.
