6 INCH VALVE BOXES:

Valve boxes are used to provide access your control valves.

Also, valve boxes are installed over the top of the valve to mark the location of your valves. In the event there is a problem with a control valve or wire splice, you'll save time and effort looking for and accessing the problem valve.

6" round valve boxes are preferred over the large rectangular valve boxes since they allow you to dig up a single valve at a time for servicing compared to digging up a large rectangular valve box to service one valve.

This light duty residential valve box is ideal for protection of 1" or smaller lawn sprinkler system solenoid valves. Has a snap-on green cover; blending with lawn. This box is used for a single valve. We do not recommend installation in concrete or where the box will be subject to heavy vehicular traffic.

• 6" round valve boxes and covers are injection molded of recycled polyolefin material with a melt
  index between 10-12.
• Coloring and UV stabilizers are added, along with processing lubricants when needed.
• The 6" round body shall be tapered and have a minimum wall thickness of .130".
• The body shall have a double wall at the
  top cover seat area with a minimum thickness of .125".
• The bottom of the body shall have a .250" flange.
• The 6" round cover
  shall have an average thickness of .150".
