| FertiGator
is
affordable and saves money over time, and it's better for plants and
for the environment. |
Low Cost |
Saves
Time and Money
It
takes a lot of effort keeping your yard healthy, green and
pest and disease free. How many times a year do you have to
trudge around your property with a granular fertilizer
spreader? Spraying chemical treatments? The FertiGator puts
out fertilizer for you day-in, day-out. When the fertilizer
runs out simply swap out the bucket or jug and you are done. |
| |
|
Reduce
Loss Rate on New Plantings
People
spend a lot of money on their yards - trees, shrubs and
ornamentals are especially expensive. The FertiGator allows
you to put the right amount of fertilizer and micronutrients
on your new plantings and significantly increase their
chances to survive. You can ensure that all your hard work
and money won't go to waste! |
| |
|
Healthier
plants need less fertilizer and chemical treatments
Recent
studies confirm that as little as one-third the amount of
nitrogen must be added through fertigation as compared to
traditional granular feeding. Fertigation will create
healthier plants which require less pesticides, herbicides
and fungicides. This will save you the time and money of
having to going to the store for yet another product and
save your health by not having to deal with toxic chemicals. |
| |
|
Less
Waste
The
FertiGator can be programmed by zone to put more fertilizer
in one area and less in another. You are able to set an
exact mixture to control growth and color. Fertigation
eliminates the chance of burning or streaking by
over-applying fertilizer and also reduces excessive growth,
thatch and disease. |

| Better
for Plants |
Gradual
feeding is better
With
granular fertilizers, the plants use up the nutrients in the
first few days following treatment, growing rapidly,
requiring mowing and leaving long grass stems that cause
thatch to form. After a week or so, the lawn must endure a
period of near starvation until the next chemical release or
treatment. Another over-feeding is followed by another
stressful low nutrient period. This sequence of peaks and
valleys is very stressful for plants which weaken cell
structures and invite disease and pests. Advancements in
attempting to control the rate of release of granular
fertilizers proves that gradual feeding is the ultimate
goal. No matter the design, rain and weather effect release
rates and there is no way to actually control when granular
fertilizers release. |
|
Total
Control
The FertiGator applies exactly what you want every time you
water. You have total control of the release rate to yield
the look and growth rate you want. |
|
Healthier Roots
Agronomists have proven that plants fed at slower rates will
develop a healthier root structure, need less water, and
will be more resistant to disease and insect infestation.
With fertigation the nutrients are able to penetrate with
the water deep into the root zone, adding to the nutrient
reserves, taking the energy from the top growth and
converting it to deep and lateral root growth. The result is
healthier
green grass and more blades of grass. |
|
Better
for the Soil
Gradual
fertilization through the FertiGator brings back microbes
and enhances the ability of the plant to obtain food from
the soil. Nitrogen is very plentiful in the air and in the
soil. When it rains, nitrogen is brought to the soil by the
rain as it falls through the nitrogen rich air.
Unfortunately, this nitrogen is not in a form that the plant
can use. Microbes convert this nitrogen from unusable
molecules to plant-soluble molecules. When microbe
populations are reduced it becomes more and more difficult
for the plant to use the naturally occurring nutrients. The
increase in artificial fertilizers increases the
concentration of harmful chemicals, further diminishing the
microbial population, thus requiring the application of
still more fertilizer. Applying organic based fertilizers
with the FertiGator will improve the quality of your soil by
enhancing microbial activity. |
|
Better
for the Environment
Less
Run-Off
Fertigation
is a more precise way to deliver smaller concentration of
fertilizers, which results in a better absorption rate and
means less or no runoff available to contaminate streams,
rivers and ground water. It has been reported that a very
significant portion of the chemical run-off problem our
water systems are facing comes from residential lawn
chemicals. |
|
Less dependence on chemicals
The
traditional method of granular fertilization creates
unhealthy plants with short root systems that are
susceptible to disease, weeds and bugs. The more you use,
the more pesticides, herbicides and fungicides are
necessary. All of these chemicals will eventually end up in
our water system. |
