The Head Lock Tool was developed to make the task of installing nozzles into underground rotor sprinkler heads a quick and simple process. The current method of performing this tedious job is less than ideal. The Head Lock Tool allows the riser to be pushed out and retained in the extended position in one simple motion. This action requires very little effort. The Head Lock can be easily gripped with one hand while the head nozzle is easily inserted into position. The riser will stay in the extended position, without installing a retainer. There is not need to hold the Head Lock Tool to keep the riser in it's extended position. The entire unit (head and Head Lock) may be set aside while collecting the correct nozzle for the application. After the nozzle is installed, the head is released and removed from the Head Lock Tool in one easy motion.
