OATEY 31212 3/4" WHITE PTFE THREAD SEAL TAPE (260 FT. ROLL):

Oatey white thread seal tape is composed of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE or Teflon) which provides clean, positive seal on threaded connections. White Thread Seal Tape is an all-purpose thread sealing tape and can be used with plastic, brass, copper, aluminum, galvanized steel, or black iron piping.

Directions for Use

Use ½ in. wide tape for threads up to 1½ in. wide, and ¾ in. tape for larger diameter threads. Clean the male and female fitting threads thoroughly to remove any oil or dirt. Apply a minimum of three wraps of thread seal tape. Take care to wrap the tape in the direction of the threads. While wrapping, keep tension in the tape. Do not overlap the tape on the ends of the fitting.
