Our 50/50 leaded wire solder is perfect for plate work, seaming joints, sheet metal, and hot water heating lines. Flux is required when using this product.

Flux is used to remove unwanted dirt and particles from the surface of the copper pipe, and is also used to etch the surface of the copper. Solder will not properly flow into joints, and therefore will not create a water-tight seal, without the use of flux.
