- Remove the control panel and then fit the wireless receiver unit into the floor of the box as shown, using the Velcro pad supplied.
- Plug the electrical connector into the "Wireless" socket on the main circuit board as shown below. Make sure that the red wire is closest to the corner of the board as shown.
- With this model there is no need for an external anetnna. Using the supplied wire nut simply connect the black antenna wire from the wireless unit to the spare (Dark Blue) wire on the irrigation cable that runs from the Sprinkler Magician unit to the Sprinkler Timer. This wire then forms a powerful antenna that gives excellent range. Note: If the antenna is not connected as described above the range will be dramatically reduced or the wireless remote may not work at all.
- Once the Sprinkler Magician system is installed and tested, you can then test the wireless remote. Press and release the top button and the system should immediately start a pesticide cycle. The second button on the remote is not used as the remote is set to control the pesticide application only. The range is up to 1000' in ideal conditions, and the signal should pass through several walls without problems. The antenna can be extended to increase range but this is usually not needed.
Note: If you have a dual reservoir model that also dispenses fertilizer this is not controlled by the remote as it is dependent on the irrigation system watering cycle to apply fertilizer.
