| Most jobs
require only a FertiGator M1 (AR-1M), single injector with an
8-zone controller and perhaps an additional 8-zone controller.
However, for more complex jobs, multiple application rates and
products you might need a little help in designing a customer's
system. We've come up with a chart and a spreadsheet to help you
determine what FertiGator product you should install. But, if
you have any questions or concerns, please feel to call Jon Lips
at 1-877-337-8442 ext 11 and he can help you design your system. |
The
Chart
The chart below will help you determine what
FertiGator product you need for your system. The size of
the property is not relevant. System design determines
what FertiGator product is right for your property. |
- |
The
"Design Precipitation Rate" for
the system is the amount of water applied over
the course of a week through the sprinkler
system during no rainfall. This is measured in
inches per week. If you don't know, assume it is
3 for this purpose. |
- |
The
"Fertilizer Application Rate"
is determined from the package directions. Use
24 ounces per 1,000 square feet per month for
FertiGrow fertilizers for this purpose. |

How
to Use This Chart
If, for example, you know that the system will put out
about 3 inches of water in a week in periods of low
rainfall and you will put the fertilizer out at 24
ounces per 1,000 square feet per month, the basic AR-1M
Kit is appropriate so long as the GPM flow rates are
less than 27. Remember, the size of the property does
not matter. If the GPMs are between 27 and 55, then two
injectors are required. You need either an M1 Dual (2
single injectors) or an M2 (one double injector). |
