Features & BenefitsPGA Valve
- Globe and angle configuration for flexibility in design and installation
- Rugged PVC construction
- Filtered pilot flow to resist debris and clogging of
solenoid ports
- Slow closing to prevent water hammer and subsequent system damage
- Manual internal bleed operates the valve without
allowing water into the valve box
- One-piece solenoid design with captured plunger and spring for easy servicing
- Non-rising flow control handle adjusts water flows as needed
- Normally closed, forward flow design
Pressure Regulating Basket Filter
- Efficient design combines filtration and pressure
regulation in one compact unit
- Fewer connection points means less chance of leaking
- Combined parts means less assembly time, and compact size means smaller valve boxes
- Stainless steel 200 mesh filter protects drip
irrigation components
- Rugged glass filled nylon construction
- Filter can easily be accessed vertically while preventing debris from falling into the line
Operating Range
- Flow: 5 to 20 gpm (11,4 to 75,7 l/m)
- Pressure: 15 to 150 psi (1,04 to 10,35 bar)
- Regulating Pressure: 40psi (2,7 bar)
- Water Temperature: up to 110F (43 C)
- Ambient Temperature: up to 125F (52C)
- Filtration: 200 mesh (75 micron)*
*Can be replaced with 100 or 120 mesh Rain Bird filter,
available separately
Pressure Loss
In order to supply 40 psi (2.8 bars) outlet pressure, additional pressure is needed at the inlet since there is some pressure loss from water flowing through the kit. The amount of pressure loss depends on the flowrate.
The charts below list the minimum inlet pressure required to supply 40 psi (2.8 bars) of outlet pressure.
