But with the Hunter Wireless Valve System it is possible for each to enjoy the benefits of automatic irrigation. Battery life is guaranteed through a full season, making replacement a simple annual task. And there's no need to reach inside the valve box to hook up a field transmitter and download program instructions, the programmer can communicate with the controller from up to 100 ft. away.

Great Product
First let me say that I have been using this setup for a season now and it has performed flawlessly. Providing AC power was going to be a problem so I wanted a battery operated system. This unit allowed me to install the system with nothing above ground to get damaged and I can do the actual programing in the comfort of my home. I do find programing the unit confusing but once programed it works perfectly and I can send the signal to the controller from inside my house as I have a window about 20 feet away. The controller is mounted inside the valve box and has been underwater since it was installed. That has reduced the range but it is still adequate. I find that the range is improved by holding the programmer so that the antenna is perfectly vertical. The battery in the controller is still working but I'll change it at the beginning of next season. I couldn't be happier with this setup and plan to install one in the backyard in the spring. Great that I can use this programmer for the new system.

This is a great product in combination with the wireless valve controller. All I do is set the days that I would like it run via remote and it rains for Me.
