Hunter PGP-ADJ-B Rotor Series

The World's Best Selling Rotor Since 1981

The PGP is Hunter's original product -the item that put the company on the map in 1981. Its exceptional design and impressive performance placed the rotor a cut above back then, and continuous improvements and enhancements have allowed it to remain the number one selling rotor in the world ever since. With the ability to deliver even water distribution from engineered nozzles, this sprinkler is unequaled in reliability, durability, versatility, and value. With its endless built-in features and Hunter's years of experience in gear-drive technology, it's no wonder the PGP remains the professional's choice year after year.

Everything about these sprinklers are great. I definitely recommend them to anyone putting in a sprinkler system. Once you figure out how to put in the nozzle and adjust the spray you want, you won’t use anything else.

Purchases or for replacement of current rotors as needed
Have not used yet. Irrigation service change one rotor to a larger size (this one) and purchase this as a replacement when needed.
Others are replacement as needed also. Cheaper than purchasing from irrigation service.

Great Sprinkler heads and great service.
We have had Hunter and Rainbird sprinkler heads and slowly but surely we are replacing all of the Rainbirds with Hunters. We just think they are higher quality. And Sprinkler Warehouse is awesome. I got my order so quickly. Thank you.

Not sure which nozzle color to use
Blue or Red nozzle? Not sure which to use. Flow rates appear to be based on half circle. Need larger nozzle for full circle and smaller nozzle for quarter circle.

what is the difference between blue and red nozzles?
A shopper on Apr 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The blue nozzles are marked with a number that is actual gpm. The red nozzles have a number also but that number is not actually the gpm rating for that nozzle, you have to have the factory chart to choose a nozzle size that fits the gpm you are after. Also you have to be certain the nozzles you have are fit for by he head you have some are totally round some are square topped.
What is the difference between the Hunter PGP-ADJ and the PGP-ADJ-B?
gloria f on Jun 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have two locations, one with 65psi and the other with 85psi. The blue nozzle allows me to maintain equal pattern coverage throughout the trajectory of the
spray pattern. It took (not scientific) a little trial and error but I ended up with
a 2.5 nozzle on the 65psi and a 3.0 nozzle on the 85psi area. The red nozzles were good but the blue nozzles were a significant improvement,
especially in the wind.

As a foot note, the low trajectory nozzles are priceless in my bird feeder area.

I hope this helps you as it did for

If I have to replace a Hunter PGP-ADJ-B 4 inch PGP Rotor, how does that connect to the feed line?
Keith G on Oct 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Long Answer is : First Check how the original one connected to get an Idea of what is needed. Then make the necessary replacement of parts (clasps, nozzles, fittings etc ). Its pretty easy.

Short Answer is: go to youtube and watch any one of the numerous replacements that come close to what you are trying to do to get that idea and you are all set to go !
What is the difference between the Hunter PGP-ADJ 4 in. Pop-Up Adjustable Arc Rotor and the
Hunter PGP-ADJ-B 4 inch PGP Rotor w/ 8 Blue Nozzles (other than the latter has blue nozzles)?
Marion H on May 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The B stands for comes with blue nozzles installed vs the standard red nozzles. Select your nozzles according to your gpm flow rates and the desired angle/ Length of spray. I use the blue because they supposedly perform better at short distances. You could get the non B version and buy the nozzle rack separately cheaper than the B version factory installed.
I have hunter SRS nozzles. I don't see that number anywhere? Are they replaced with a newer model?
