Water pooling around a sprinkler head can be caused by a number of issues, including a leaking seal, cracked sprinkler body, loose fitting, or a valve that is not closing completely. It can also happen when the sprinkler is installed too low. If water appears only while the zone is running, inspect the head and connections for leaks. If pooling continues after the system shuts off, check for a valve that may be leaking.
