Hunter PGP-04CV Ultra w/Check Valve

The PGP Ultra takes the foundation of the best-selling PGP Rotor and raises the bar with a variety of new features developed over three decades of research, customer feedback, and lab testing. Among the most notable improvements of the PGP Ultra is its non-strippable drive and automatic arc return. These two features work to allow the turret to be turned without causing damage, and return the turret to its original arc regardless of where it is turned. Other advanced features include 34 nozzle options with several radius choices, and a headed slot and set screw. The diversity of the PGP Ultra offers system installers an array of efficient options on any site.

Must have or any rotor on a slope !!
Used to have a big "lake " @ the bottom of my front yard (which sloped downward ... ) when the rotors turned off and drained out . Now with the check valves in it's much improved !! Anyone who has a sloping yard should have a rotor w/ a check valve ...

Replacing PGP head and needed a check valve, this seemed like the way to go. A bit of an upgrade and still similar to other existing heads.

very good sprinkler head

My old Weathermatic T3 rotors were failing to hold their pattern. I reviewed the options and thought I would try the Hunter PGP rotor. I've been very happy with the change. I find the coverage to be more uniform and have had no problems with having to re-set the coverage pattern or disposing of the rotor due to failure to reliably set coverage pattern.

My church has difficulty with leaking sprinkler heads due to position in the sprinkler grid - lower sprinklers become the exit point for water in the pipes when system is off. These heads prevent leakage from the sprinkler head.

Which nozzles are provided with the pbg ultra?
A shopper on May 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The rotors come with at least a dozen nozzles of different sizes and spray patterns. I have always found one that works for any given location and have scores of them left over for replacement.
What's mean with check valve?
A shopper on Jun 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It means that there is a spring valve inside the sprinkler head that allows water to run through the head only when there is enough water pressure. When the water shuts off. the spring valve closes the connection, so that the sprinkler heads that are at lower elevation will not drain out, leaving extra water on the ground. The water stays in the pipes until the water pressure comes back on during the next watering cycle. This feature is to save water, and also to keep the lower elevation heads from being a drain point for excess water.
are blue and red nozzles interchangeable in rotors?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: if they are provided with the rotors yes if not sprinkler warehouse always provide nozzles with rotors you purchase in a variety GPM for that rotor. Hope this was helpful
A shopper on Jul 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is.
how to set rotation?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Detailed instructions are available on Hunter's site, follow the Support link and search for "rotor adjustments".
Is there a set screw in these to hold the water regulator in place? It doesn't look like there is one.
Brian G on Nov 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Regulator? Do you mean the nozzle? If so there is a diffuser screw which does hold in the nozzle.
