Irritrol CL-100-WIRELESS Climate Logic

Wireless Weather Sensor System

For simple, water saving, weather-following, automatic irrigation control, Irritrol introduces the Climate Logic weather system. Consisting of three components; a wireless transmitting weather sensor for installation outdoors, a receiver module to attach to the Irritrol controller, and an SD card with the 40 year, average, historical, weather information by zip code (or LAT/LON), the system monitors weather data, transmits them to the module then alters the controller's watering time to follow the weather. As for compatibility, the Climate Logic weather system works with the Rain Dial-R, the Total Control-R, KwikDial, and MC-E (blue) version 5.02 or later controllers. These controllers, installed with CLIMATE LOGIC, proved in official testing, they meet the criteria for the EPA WaterSense label.

The Best
This is the best weather/rain sensor out there! Easy setup and wireless sensor. It adjusts the timing of each zome based on the current weather conditions & zip code location (basically adjusts the budget % automatically). A Remote can also be added very easily to operate timer out in the yard.

Irritrol Climate Logic
This was a very straightforward installation that I performed without assistance. Checked the operation after a rainfall and it is working properly. Prior to the installation I would have to adjust my irrigation (drip) system after a rainfall, for the winter season and when there is a frost. I'm looking forward to the Climate Logic system relieving me of that effort.

Highly capable
I paired this with an irritrol sprinkler system. The instructions are comprehensive, but clear. This appears to be a highly capable controller and there were no issues setting it up. It rained a couple of days after I installed it and the system appeared to work well for this time of year. It will be interesting to see how it works in the heat of summer.

Controller is indoors, sensor -- obviously outside; within 500 ft. Does the signal reliably get through from outdoor to indoor?
A shopper on May 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I have no problem with my system. My control unit is in the garage and the rain sensor is on the other side of the house and mounter on the deck and I have no issues. That said the first unit was not working very well, but irritrol sent me a second without any hustle and I've had no issues since.
can i install just one cl-100 to operate 4 irritrol controllers that are all in the same room ?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2012

you need to have one wireless climate logic module connecting to each controller, but you're ok with only one single wireless weather sensing station (the unit that looks like a "Dalek" (you know what I mean if you are a "Dr. Who" fan) for multiple controllers e.g. Rain Dial etc.

You can buy the climate logic modules without the weather sensor but I haven't seen them at SprinklerWarehouse (message to SW - please add these to your portfolio...;-)

Hope this helps.
is this product compatible with the Irritrol PCW-12-EXT-PAK?
A shopper on Jun 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No idea as I don't have the Irritrol PCW-12-EXT-PAK. I suggest you ask Irritrol's Customer Service.

BEST ANSWER: I have an Irritrol "Total Control" 15 station unit installed in 2011. I added the Irritrol Climate Logic weather sensor in 2012 to replace a unit purchased at a home improvement store that didn't work well. The Climate Logic unit plugs right into theTotal Control unit and sends data to it. I had a couple of glitches which Irritrol Customer Service was unable to resolve, 1) I have to set the contoller on "sensor bypass" in order for it work--seems like this is just backwards, and 2) I was trying to run my controller on watering intervals of every 4 days and it seemed that the weather sensor would sometimes advance the controller by a day when the controller had already advanced, skipping the day when it should have watered. So I just changed it to watering every Wed and Sun and it works great. The rain sensor and other Climate Logic features seem to operate very well.
Can I use the climate logic wireless weather sensor system with an indoor controller?
