Perfect Replacement Part
I purchased an older home 2 years ago and recently had an issue with one sprinkler zone remaining on at all times. Called a local sprinkler repair shop and they diagnosed the issue as a bad valve diaphragm, but stated that particular valve was no longer available. Quoted a manifold rebuild with new valves at a cost of $500+. After weeks of no action on their part I went searching for the part myself and SprinklerWarehouse was the first hit. After matching up photos I ordered a full replacement valve and within a week was able to swap out the part. Needless to say this purchase was MUCH cheaper than the original quote provided to me requiring just a little bit of work on my part.

SprinklerWarehouse has earned my business moving forward as it looks like a one stop shop for everything I need for my TORO system.

Thank You

Worked Perfectly
I was able to save a lot of $$ by making my own repair with this valve. So far it is working perfectly and zero leaks. I used the top part of the valve and the diaphragm/seat only since that was all I needed, making it a much easier repair than changing out the whole valve. Very happy with the purchase!

First time customer., fully satisfied.
Parts delivered exactly as ordered. It was only three zone valves for myself making homeowner repairs. The site provided good photos and information so you can pretty much order all by yourself with no issues. I would definitely use Sprinkler Warehouse to supply any parts needed. 100% rating.

Good deal
If you need the solenoid, getting the whole valve costs the same !!!

fit right
Used it to replace aging versions of itself. Easier to replace the solenoid and top end of the valve rather than digging out the entire old valve. Cheaper to buy whole valve than the parts. Only complaint is the solenoid plunger isn't captive -- when removed, the plunger and spring fall out. Not a biggie, but just a bit trickier to deal with as the solenoid needs to be removed to get to all the head screws. Item fit perfectly, and fixed a couple of non-operative zones. We're back into watering.

How do I clean the flo-pro valve?
Robert S on Sep 11, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Unscrew the top and wash the diaphram
does this valve have the adj nob on top toro 260?
A shopper on Apr 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The knob on top is only there if you purchased the "with flow control" version. If not there is only a short, stubby blade in the center of the diaphragm cover.
I have a zone that will not shutoff. What's the mostly likely reason for this to happen? I thinking of replacing the selenoid and diaphram.
Al S on Jul 8, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Hey All: I replaced the diaphram this evening and for a moment the zone worked perfect. I shut it down and put on the gel caps over the selenoid wires and for some reason I turned the air purg valve a few turns and then tried the zone again. This time, it wouldn't open. The next hour had me taking the valve apart serveral times, changing the selenoid and finally just leaving it. The zone won't even open with the selenoid unwired. Any ideas? I tried cleaning all the little ports around the selenoid.
I want to replace my four old toro 280 05-04 valves. What is the correct Toro Replacement valve for my old ones?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I replaced my Toro valves with orbit valves because they are readily available at Home Depot and so are the parts to fix them.
I have a Toro irrigation valve model number 254-06-04. I need a replacement valve for it. Can you suggest a replacement?
William J on Jun 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would use the same toro valve model 254-06-04. If the body is not cracked you can change the internal parts and use the new top. This would save time and effort in changing the valve out. If you have to change the entire valve then I prefer the hunter valves.

if there is a manual on/off, where is it?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. Loosen the coil a little and that will open the valve, but water will leak on the floor until you retighten the coil again.
the valve I have is 264-16-04 is the 260 series the same but new number?
Robert B on Jul 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They do appear the same, and the inside parts interchange. Typically, I prefer to do a complete rebuild when repairing valves. Just remove the top half and the guts of your new valve. Then do the same with the old valve and swap them into the lower half. This way you shouldn't need to mess with the manifold. Note: Be sure to save all the outer screws from your old valve as they may be different, and you might need to reuse them. Another thing to make sure you do, is if your old valve has "Flow Control" make sure your new valve has it as well. Likewise, if you start with no flow control, finish with no flow control. (this is something that does not interchange on all valves).
which Toro 260 has female inlets?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Toro 260-06-04 is female by female. The web page discriptions are marked very well as to what type of fitting is on the inlet and outlet. The customer service has been able to answer all my questions about different products as well. Bill
Is the Toro 260 valve a slow closing model?
Bill K on Apr 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No they all close fast. The only solution I have found is a hammer arrester.
3/4 in in line model no. 53380 old toro valve .will the 260 series work for a replacement?
tom f on Apr 29, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I bought the Toro 260-06-04 I inch valve to replace the old toro Valve #53381. These are both 1 inch valves. I use the parts (diaphragm support, diaphragm, spring, body top, and solenoid with spring and plunger) from the new valve into the body of the old valve. This is so I do not have to dig up the body and existing waterlines. Everything fits and performs correctly. I do not know about the 3/4 inch valves. But, I suspect they would fit the same.
Are the 260-06-04 parts compatible with my 30 year old valve W/0 flow control and stamped C 88 on its top? I don't want to replace the old body of my valve if avoidable.
Eagle on Aug 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Actually, I also didn’t want to replace the whole valve, so I took it apart and simply used the guts . Works good
One of my 30 year old C88 units needs replacement parts. Will the 260 06 04 provide replacement parts?
Eagle on Aug 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I really don't know with out seeing the old valve some of them came with a end that would adapt to your line in the ground.

Richard B on May 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Toro 260-06-04 1 in. FPT Electric Valve without Flow Control - I just replace the parts in my installed valve with the parts from the new valve including the solenoid. You have to be careful to not introduce any dirt in the process. It worked perfectly.

I have 8 x model 53682 1" valves, one will not turn off, two will not turn on electonically but will manually. I'm thinking of buying 3 new Toro 260-06-04 units to use the guts or parts of them to repair my misbehaving 13 year old 53682's. Will the guts or parts of the Toro 260-06-04 fit perfectly and work in my 53682s? Thank you
