Why isn’t my Toro sprinkler head spraying far enough?
The first thing to check on your Toro sprinkler head is its maximum spray distance. Each Toro sprinkler nozzle is designed to spray water to a different radius, so make sure that yours is built to reach the right distances. Next, check if your water pressure is below what the sprinkler head requires, as this can affect spray distance. Dirt and debris are also common culprits, so be sure to keep your Toro sprinkler heads clean.
How do you adjust Toro sprinkler heads?
Different types of Toro sprinkler heads are adjusted through different means. For Toro rotor heads, you can adjust the arc and the radius by adjusting the nozzle turret and the nozzle retention screw. For Toro spray heads, you can make changes to the radius by twisting the scew on top of the nozzle. You’ll find that most sprinkler heads can be adjusted with a similar process.

Grass and shrubs have two very different types of root systems, so watering should vary between these two types of plants.
