Silver Bullet valves are a strong residential and light commercial option, while Black Bullet valves add heavier-duty features, including a higher 225 PSI rating. In general, choose Silver Bullet for standard sprinkler systems and Black Bullet for dirty water or commercial systems.

To clean a Weathermatic sprinkler valve, start by turning off the water supply and power to the controller. Remove the valve cover screws, then carefully lift off the cover, spring, and diaphragm. Make sure to rinse the diaphragm, valve body, seat, and small diaphragm ports with clean water to remove dirt or debris. The valve body can also be cleaned before reinstalling the diaphragm.
