No more fooling with the timer!
Great addition to the lighting system. I never have to change the timer settings. The lights go on when it gets dark and I have the timer set to turn the lights off at 11:00 PM. It was real easy to install too.

I want to mount the transformer inside and mount the photocell outside. How long is the wire pigtail?
Dennis on Oct 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The wire is 8.5 inches long.
I currently have a 2 wire photo sensor and this part has 3 wires what is the difference?
Mark S on Sep 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Your 2 wire photocell is most likely a CDS Photocell (Cadmium-Sulfide) and is a simple light sensitive resistor element, what ever you attach that to has some amplifier or trigger circuit to control the load.

A 3 wire photocell as the amp/trigger circuit built in and uses ac power and has a control wire for the load, as with the FX photocell.

The two are then VERy different.
