Smoking Transformer
When I installed the transformer and turned on the circuit breaker it began to,smoke-- I shout the breaker off.. The tranformer was hot o touch. I spoke with Jim Wright at Rain Dial and he thought it was a defective transformer. He sent me a new control box at no cost.

I have a Dial 14 Controller. I called and asked Irritrol whether this would be a suitable substitute for the transformer, and the representative answered affirmatively.

will this work for the RD-900?
BEST ANSWER: Yes there is only one 24 volt transformer. It fits the 6, 9, 12 station controls

Will this transformer work for the RD 1200?
In Australia our power source is 240 volts . Do you have something similar?
