Why do i need pressure regulator?
A shopper on Aug 15, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Depending on your application either to prevent drip system fittings blowing apart and/or leaking, or, in lawn systems, to prevent water wastage that occurs when sprinklers are operated above their rated range (misting, overshooting). Most critical in drip systems and highly recommended. Regulate at the point your irrigation branches off your potable with just 1 quality regularor to avoid having to install regulators all over the field. Don't forget to backflow protect and filter with at least a 150# mesh filter, also. Starting upstream, the order should be 1. backflow device, 2. filter, 3. pressure regulator.
how well did this work on an emiter system where does it install on system?
A shopper on Jun 2, 2011
BEST ANSWER: It installs directly in the valve right before the solenoid. And as far as how well it works...poorly.
