To water a flower bed area.
Kjohn168 on Aug 5, 2018
The inline shrubbler allows water to be delivered from two different lines. This is advantageous in case one of the lines becomes clogged up from hard water deposits.

Why does this item have two barbs?
Steve G on Feb 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: When you want your 1/4" line to water several plants, you have the line go to the first plant, where you attach it to one barb of an in-line emitter, such as this one. Then you attach another section of 1/4" line to the other barb and lead it to a second plant where you attach it to another emitter. You can do this with a number of plants. Just be sure that the last emitter has only one barb.
I'm interested in your Antelco A30995 inline shrubbler. A picture shows it as a low flow sprinkler with 8 or so faint streams of water coming out. That's what I want, but it's called a shrubbler. What's a shrubbler? Is this in-line shrubbler what I want?
A shopper on Nov 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I believe the term "Shrubbler" is used for this item because it is a lot smaller than a "Bubbler" which goes on top a 1" or 3/4" diameter riser pipe to water trees. So this size would be more suitable for small shrubs, perennials, annuals, vegetables, etc. I use this item in-line for staggered groupings of succulents, sedums, and flowers in a desert situation. I also use it to make my own watering rings for inside large container plantings. I terminate that ring or line with a shrubbier that is not the in-line type. I tap into my 1" in-ground black poly pipe with a 7 gph emitter rather than the typical 1 or 2 gph emitters so that enough water is supplied through the 1/4" line to all the in-line shrubblers.
which is the emitter like this with only one barb?
A shopper on May 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The Top.....like an umbrella. In line barbs are for use in a single series connecting the next one down stream.
Does both barbs need to be used or can you leave one open?
