Rain Bird DBC-025 Clog and Erosion-Preventing Drip Tubing Cap

Designed to deliver a smooth and predictable flow to your plants, button emmitters require water to travel through a complex pathway before being expelled. The design ensure that large changes in pressure will only cause a gradual but relative change in flow to plants. Button emmitters are less prone to clogging due to their complex internal water path design.

  • Barb inlet fits into 1/4" in. distribution tubing (DT-025 or PT-025).
  • Flanged shield diffuses water to minimize soil erosion at emission point.
  • Prevents bugs and other debris from clogging 1/4" in. distribution tubing.

How is the drip cap used?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The cap is used at the end of each drip irrigation line. (at the base of a plant). I use them to preventt insect, dirt and other debi from entering the 1/4 inch drip line. The DBC-025 also alows the water to drip vs just pouring out thus eliminating erosion of the soil at the base of the plant.
what is the flow rate of the DBC025?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is actually the cap at the end of the line, near the plant, its flow rate is dictated by the emitter. This prevents insects from crawling inside as well as making the drip fall in a way that prevents erosion.
