Great much better then standard punchs
this has made punching the 1/2 poly drip lines easy accurate and is very clean, keeps dirt out! Great! If your going be doing lots punching in poly 1/2 line a must!

A Must have tool
Was a little Leary, at first, due to the plastic construction, but this little tool is very well made. Inexpensive. So much easier than the old push punch style.

The one I have broke. The curved piece inside the jaw bent and no longer fits over the 1/2" tubing. However, if I take it out, the opening is too sloppy so I need a new tool. Another problem with this tool is the punch falls out often and is sooo hard to find in the dirt. I glued the tip into my old tool. Finally, I am often punching holes in the side or bottom of the tube which is not easy with this tool. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything better so I am ordering another one of these.

This looks like a less fatiguing method of installing around 100 1/4 " barbs.

my drip tubing is 1/8 inch OD, will the 3mm work ok?

Will this work with 1 inch tubing? Is there anything that helps press the connectors into the hole?
A shopper on May 10, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Hello. I used it for the poly tubing sized .070 OD and .060 ID. I cannot see why ithe poly punch would not work for one inch also. This is easy to use. We used this tubing to supply water for a overhead greenhouse supply line, with the sprinkler heads inserted into the tubing. Great stuff. Easy to use. The sprinklers just snap into the tubing, no leaks when used with the pressure reglator limiting the pressure to 35 PSI

Hope this helps. steve
How do you replace the pins? Or should I just but a new punch? Mine lasted for about 20 punches and then the pin fell out.
Matt C on Oct 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm sorry, I have no idea. I"ve used mine to install over 200 lines and have not had a problem. If it lasted only that period of time I would demand a replacement.
I am having a hard time forcing the fittings into the ends of the hose, any suggestions?
