EZ-FLO 3060-BV Low Flow Ball Valve Hose Connector

The 3060-BV has a ball valve between the inlet and outlet connection fittings that can be adjusted to increase feed rates over the standard feed rates and to provide feeding capability in drip systems with less than 2 gallons per minute of water flow. It replaces the hose bib connector that comes with the hose and drip systems.

I use this on my drip system and the zones have a wide flow range so I needed to be able to adjust the fertilizer feed over a large range.

Hi a barb from the hose bib adaptor fro my EZ-Flo system with 3/4 gallon tank broke off. Is this the only replacement part available?
Jonathan K on Aug 17, 2014
Hello,

I ordered the 3/4 gas EZ-Flo 2005 to connect to a hose-end sprayer. I intend to used it to spray fungicide, etc, on my lawn which is 6000 sq ft. The description of this Ball Valve says it increases feed over the standard. Does this mean it can increase the flow of fungicide to more than 1.2 oz per gallon? If I am in the right direction, about how many oz can the flow of fungicide be increased to?

Any help will be appreciated.

BEST ANSWER: I don't know exactly how much it can be increased to ... but what the ball valve does is let you mechanically flow how much inlet water to let through the pipe. If you want to, you can make it all fungicide by closing the valve completely.
does the male threaded end accept a garden hose connection?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, the male hose threaded end can be connected to a female hose thread connection.
Does this sipon from a bucket?

BEST ANSWER: I don't believe so. I used the valve as part of an automated fertigation solution based around a 4 zone drip irrigation system and the EZ Flo 1010-HB. The connector interfaces to the EZ Flo while the valve adds an additional irrigation flow control point.
Where do you put the fertilizer in the low flow ball ?
A shopper on Jun 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I bought the tank and flow ball last summer. I use it every weekend to water vegitables and flowers.

this item is designed to be used with one of fertilizer tanks such as: EZ Flo 2005-HB 3/4 Gallon Hose Bib and Drip System

http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/EZ-Flo-Drip-Fertilizer-Kit-p/2005-hb.htm

you then mix the fertilizer with water in the tank and connect the two 1/4 tubes coming from the tank to the two nipples on the side of this flow ball. One end of the flow ball connects to your hose and the other end connects to the water faucet.

There are various blends of fertilizer available at this link.
http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Water-Soluble-Fertilizers-s/7722.htm

I purchased two blends.
One for vegitables EZ Flo GRM102030-25 Start/Transplant 10-20-30 Fertilizer (25 lbs)

and the other for my wife's flowers. Grow More All-Purpose-25 All-Purpose 15-30-15 Fertilizer Mix (25 lbs)

This tank works great. Don't leave it out in the sun and don't leave it under pressure all the time.
The nipples are made of plastic so you should order two of these flow balls. That way you'll have a spare if one breaks.

This was probably more info that you wanted. Hope it helps.

My garden is irrigated by municipal water and I have it valved off in 8 areas.
The valves branch off the main line along the way to each area.
Can't I use the EZ Flo to fertilize all zones by installing it between the back-flow preventer and the first valve on the system?
Thank you for your help,
JB
A shopper on May 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why you couldn't, as long as all the valves come off the same main line that the EZ-Flo would be inserted on.

Depending on how much each section of garden irrigation uses per minute/hour, you may have a hard time setting the EZ-Flo ball valve correctly such that it siphons the correct amount. :)
what type of fertilizer dispersed through this device?
Charlie S on Apr 19, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I use it with powdered Miracle-Gro in an EZ-Flo feeder. This valve ensures that the feeder gets enough waterflow to reliably dispense the fertilizer in a low-flow drip system.
Hello ... would like to use this on a 100 head drip system.. I think the maximum is 5gpm flow rate... I can go and purchase supply lines and I bought a five gallon bucket with lid already... is it two lines going it or just one and is this something I can use on my system??? thanks Mike
