Perfect replacement part
I bought this to replace a dead transformer in our irrigation system. It's been a few months and it is working great!

Perfect replacement
After electricians working on our house managed to briefly put 220 volts into a 110 volt circuit blowing out an electric toothbrush charger and the transformer on our 12-year old discontinued irrigation controller, I worried that I would have to do a complete replacement. Sprinkler Warehouse to the rescue! I searched on the part numbers and came up with an exact replacement. Other than the need to disassemble the controller enclosure to remove the old transformer and insert the new one, the installation was straightforward and quick.

It was damaged. It was shipped wrapped in a few pieces of paper. Wires were severed, would not produce 24 volts.

First and last purchase from you.

I have 120 volts to the controller but system will not come on ?

BEST ANSWER: What is the voltage on the terminal strip? If you have 24 volts coming out of the transformer then your problem is further down the line. Hunter has a useful troubleshooting guide - just google tech_troubleshooting_common_controller_problems.pdf
I have a hunter ic600PL. The controller works but the system will not turn on. No power to any stations. (Zero volts to all stations when turned on) Even the system status lights don’t turn on. Only the display works. Will replacing the transformer help?
Austin N on Apr 26, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The controller has it's own battery back-up and for a period of time will "keep the lights on". However, the stations need 24 volts vis the transformer. If you have a volt meter, check the secondary voltage (24 v) at the transformer. If no voltage, replace the transformer.....not too difficult a job. If there is 24 v at the secondary, then the problem lies most likely in the PC board. I have no experience is this area, and you might want to call Hunter direct. Best of luck.
will this transformer work for x-core model MT57-1-1-003?
