Does this have a built in regulator?
Mike S on Apr 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. This one I used as a filter in the supply line to my four drip lines in flowerbeds. I have a pressure regulator in each line after the electric solenoid valve in each line. The advantage to using this filter in the supply line to the valves is that it protects the valves and regulators from particles in the water.
can a 30-psi cap be purchased for this? I have an identical unit that I purchased from a big box store that is labeled 30-psi on the side of it.
Chuck on Aug 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure what you mean "30 psi cap". If you are looking for a threaded cap to put on one of the incoming or outgoing lines, any sch 40 threaded cap will be rated higher than 30 psi. If you are talking about the cap that goes over the filter you have to buy the whole filter to get that part.
can this unit work with constant pressure?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I don't see why not. There are o-rings on the cup portion to keep it sealed, and if memory serves me correctly, there are o-rings on the screen as well. The ones I purchased do not have stainless screens, so if you use too much pressure or if there are large sharp particles, it can rupture the screen.
For this unit is there a way to maximize the pressure or disable the pressure reducer altogether? I have a station with alot of output that exceeds the current pressure.

Thanks
JohnB on Jun 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Since this is only a filter, there is negligible pressure loss. The filter does not affect flow of water as long as you do not exceed 30 gpm If your system has higher than 150psi you will need something else.
What is the model number for the replacement filter for this Pressure Regulating RBY Filter 3/4"filter?
