Does this riser have a female end with threads?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No this riser is designed to attach a rotor type sprinkler head (with 3/4" female threads) to a fitting with 3/4 " female threads. It is the most common riser used to connect a rotor to the fitting under ground.
is the end 3/4 inch?

BEST ANSWER: THIS IS A 6 INCH LONG NIPPLE THAT CAN BE CUT DOWN TO ANY LENGTH YOU MIGHT NEED TO RAISE YOUR SPRINKLER HEAD.
I have the Hunter PGP sprinkler heads which are attached to fittings attached to the funny pipe. The fittings are elbows with a barb on one end for attaching to the funny pipe & a 3/4" male thread on the other end for attaching to the bottom of the sprinkler head. The heads have settled a bit low into the ground & I would like to raise the heads about 2"-4" higher.

This Cut-Off Nipple doesn't appear to be what I need, so I wonder if you have a fitting with a female 3/4" thread on one end to attache to the elbow fitting & a male 3/4" thread to attache to the bottom of the sprinkler head?

BEST ANSWER: IF YOUR HEAD IS FED FROM A FUNNY PIPE, JUST DIG THE HEAD UP AND RAISE TO THE HIGHT YOU NEED.
How do you measure to determine if you need a 1/2" or 3/4" cut off nipple? Is it by the inside hole/thread? Or the outside of the base of the sprinkler head? My measurements are slightly over 3/4" (for the inside of the threads), which makes me question if I am measuring the right location.
