Rain Bird EMA-GPX Drip Irrigation Tubing Goof Plug (80 ct.)

The Rain Bird goof plug is used to plug unwanted holes in drip tubing. For example, if you decide to remove an emitter from the drip line, and didn't wish to replace it with another emitter, a goof plug would fill the hole and prevent water loss.

These are great when you move a plant and no longer need to water that spot. They also are used at the ends or 1/4" drip line

You only sent me 10, but I never complained. Normally, I don't need these, but its a just in case product.

how to plug an emitter?
virgil t on Apr 1, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Your question is a little non-specific. Do you mean, how do I plug the hole left by an emitter I have removed? The answer is to put one of these goof plugs in the hole. Be sure to use the Rain Bird emitter tool to install and remove the emitter. If you are asking how do I install one of these emitters, this is not an emitter. As I started out, this is a plug to replace an emitter that is not wanted. If you are asking how to install an emitter, use the Rain Bird tool to hold the emitter. Just push the barbed end into the polyethylene tubing until it bottoms out and it's in. Finally, if you are asking how to remove an emitter, use the Rain Bird tool. There is a slot on the handle. Slide that under the emitter, then twist to pull the emitter out of its hole. Then replace the emitter with one of these plugs, again, using the Rain Bird tool.
for what size holes can these plugs be used?
