A must have for a large yard
I purchased the EVO smart connect to allow my system to run off of the EVO weather sensor and the remote control. The range is very good and walls etc don't seem to affect performance or communication with the remote or weather sensor.

Works Well
I bought this device to be able to use a remote to turn on and off the different zones on my sprinkler system. It is a little pricey to be able to use remote, but works well and can be used with other wireless devices that I don't have.

I have used TORO controllers and other in the past and I always seem to come back to Toro Controllers and on how easy they are to use and set up. With the new EVO controller I like how it is always being upgraded. Just needed the extras to make it even more efficient.

How many PSS-SEN soil sensors does the Smart Connect module handle?
BEST ANSWER: Hi,
I believe it can only handle 3. The sensors cannot be used in conjunction with the weather sensor. Each schedule can only be monitored by one sensor (soil or weather). If you have more than a couple zones and multiple plant types, you are better off using the weather sensor and software to set it up. If one zone needs more water than another, increase the runtime for that zone. The cycle/soak inputs cannot be manually adjusted, so if you want shorter cycles to reduce runoff, set your slope to high and soil to clay. I'd suggest running your sprinklers to the point of saturation to determine your maximum cycle first and then choose the inputs that match closest.
