Toro® RXC-FLOW RXC Series Flow Monitoring Module

The Toro® RXC-FLOW Flow Monitoring Module expands the capabilities of RXC Series irrigation controllers by adding advanced flow monitoring, leak detection, and automatic shutoff protection. Designed for irrigation professionals, municipalities, HOAs, and property managers, the RXC-FLOW helps improve water efficiency while protecting landscapes from costly water loss and system failures.

When installed in a compatible RXC Series controller, the RXC-FLOW works with Toro® and Irritrol® flow sensors to continuously monitor irrigation system performance. The module learns normal valve flow patterns and uses that information to identify abnormal flow conditions, including overflow and underflow events that may indicate broken pipes, stuck valves, damaged heads, or other system issues.

The RXC-FLOW provides real-time flow monitoring and alert notifications, allowing users to respond quickly to potential problems before they result in excessive water consumption or landscape damage. Automatic shutoff capabilities help protect irrigation systems by stopping watering when critical flow anomalies are detected.

For sites requiring additional visibility and remote management, the RXC-FLOW can be paired with the RXC-WIFI module and Toro® Oasis™ irrigation management software. This combination allows contractors and property managers to receive alerts, monitor system performance, and manage irrigation operations remotely.

Specifications

Flow Sensor Installation

The RXC can be equipped with a flow sensor (NOT INCLUDED). To use a flow sensor, you must install the optional Flow Sensor Module.

1. Install the optional flow sensor module by sliding it into the RXC's FLOW F- F+ location.
2. Route the flow sensor wires into the RXC cabinet.

   Note: 18 AWG (1.0 mm²) multi-wire sprinkler valve connection cable can be used. This cable is insulated for direct burial and color-coded to simplify installation. It can be routed directly into the controller through the access hole provided for valve wire conduit (if conduit is not used). Wire splices and field connections must be insulated using TW-SPLICE-14 waterproof wire connectors (or equivalent).

3. Secure all wire splices using wire nut connectors. To prevent corrosion and possible short circuits, always use an insulated wire nut, grease cap, or similar waterproofing method.
4. Following the instructions provided with the flow sensor, connect the two wires from the flow sensor to the sensor terminals F- and F+.
