For isolated sites, power-restricted areas, or the special needs of drip zones, the Hunter Node is the smart, reliable solution. The Node mounts to a valve solenoid quickly and easily, and without screws, drills or additional wires. The unit's solid construction and waterproof exterior ensure it can handle the harsh environment of a valve box. Once placed in a valve box, the Node is operated by one or two 9V batteries, which provide standard or extended power throughout the season. Along with exceptional reliability, the Node features an easy-to-program LCD screen, the ability to control a Master Valve, and uses standard Hunter controller programming with 3 programs and 4 start times per program. The array of programming options and rugged reliability make the Node a compact, but powerful irrigation controller with the flexibility of battery power.
The Choice for New Installations or Retrofits
The Hunter Node is an easy addition to an existing system or the ideal choice for an entirely new one. For that extra zone you have that's not wired to your present controller, simply purchase a NODE-100 and attach it to the valve quickly and easily. Or, if you're installing irrigation for the first time in an area that has no direct power access, simply order the Node factory-installed on a PGV 1 in. flow control valve.
Single or Double 9V Battery Life with Constant Readout
When it comes to battery-powered controllers, there are generally two common issues that inevitably arise. The first is that one 9V battery may not last through a season. The second is that it is difficult to know how much battery life a unit has left without laborious tracking. The Node solves both of these problems with two smart innovations: The option to add a second 9V battery for extended power, and a battery life-status indicator on the LCD display. With battery life guaranteed to last through an entire season and a constant power-level readout, the need for in-season replacement becomes eliminated, and allows operators to install a new battery only when it is absolutely necessary. For maintenance-free operation year-round, the optional Solar Panel can be added to Node quickly and easily.
The NODE is fully submersible and resists all moisture intrusion in water, mud, and debris as deep as 12 ft.

Along with the long battery life and exceptional reliability, the NODE features an easy-to-program LCD screen to track battery life without the hassle of laborious tracking. The NODE has the option to include 2 batteries for extended power, guaranteed to last through an entire season, eliminating the need to replace the battery in the middle of the season. Finally, it has the option of solar panels for consistent and enduring watering.
The NODE features an easy-to-program LCD display with standard Hunter programming, meaning 3 programs and up to 4 start times per program. This gives the NODE the unique ability to control a master valve for your entire sprinkler system without infringing on the capability of a smaller subsystem. The NODE-100 also comes with a preinstalled solenoid, so you don't even need any drills or additional wires, allowing for easy installation in the valve box.
The NODE is fully submersible and resists moisture intrusion up to 12 feet of water, debris, and/or mud. It also has rain sensor compatibility, standard hunter controller programming, and is compatible with Hunter Solar Panel maintenance-free operation to avoid the hassle of changing or replacing batteries. The NODE is the best option for in valve box or power-restricted installations.

In order to install a NODE-100, locate the solenoid that attaches to the valve and screw it into the valve bonnet. Next, remove the NODE Holder which comes preinstalled on the controller, and set the small opening on top of the solenoid. Finally, set the controller into the large open end of the holder, and close the rubber cap to protect the Node face from dirt and grime.
To set the Date and Time on a NODE Controller, push the back button until the clock icon is displayed. All four digits will be displayed representing the year. Use the + or - buttons to change the year. Press the right arrow when you are done. The two digits on the left represent the month. You can change this with the + or - for the month. Next is the day, and you can set it the same way. The AM/PM/24 hour is next, followed by hours, then minutes. When you're done you can press the back arrow to return to idle. More programming options are available on pages 7 through 11 of the owner's manual.
To change your NODE Battery, first, unscrew the rear body of the NODE to access the Batteries. Then remove any present batteries, and replace them with one or more 9-volt batteries. Make sure no water or mud is inside the battery compartment. Screw the NODE rear body back onto the front half and return the NODE to its resting location.
