Sprinkler Warehouse is teeming with videos and articles demonstrating exactly how to use our DIG products. If you need to know how to install a new drip irrigation system or brush up on the latest DIG manifolds, Sprinkler School is the place for you. In this video, Dwayne covers how to install, specify, and retrofit a sprinkler to a manifold.
These DIG 4 Outlet manifolds are an excellent way to distribute water throughout your garden or flowerbed. Drip irrigation uses considerably less water than conventional sprinkler systems. By delivering water directly to the root zones of plants, drip helps eliminate problems with insects, weeds, plant diseases and prevents wasting water due to runoff and evaporation. Sprinkler Warehouse has a variety of these manifolds to choose from.
If you have dry plants in your raised bed, drip irrigation should be your primary method of providing water to your raised bed from now on. It is the only method compatible with plastic mulch culture. You may need elbow fittings to accommodate getting water to the top of your garden beds, but every item can be found here at Sprinkler Warehouse.
Yes. A pressure regulator is strongly recommended (and usually required) for drip irrigation. Generally, drip systems are designed to operate at low pressure, typically 15 to 30 PSI. However, most household and commercial water supplies run much higher than that. Installing a DIG pressure regulator will prevent your emitters from blowing out and ensure that your water flow is even across the system.
Most people use mainline and microtubing for their irrigation system, meaning most systems use two sizes of tube. At Sprinkler Warehouse, we supply black and brown DIG drip tubing in sizes ranging from ¼ inch to 1 inch, with several lengths to choose from. Keep in mind that drip irrigation tubing size is based on outside diameter (OD), not inside diameter, which is important when selecting fittings and emitters.
Instead of manually watering all of your hanging baskets, you can install drip lines to each pot. Then set the timer and essentially forget about it. Tools such as foggers are great for irrigating hanging baskets and look cleaner and more organized than throwing in a few random hoses. Sprinkler Warehouse can help assist you with any preference you may have.
