Before testing your Weathermatic sensors, start by making sure that the controller’s rain and freeze sensor settings are turned on so the sensor can pause watering when needed. Once that’s all set, test a single zone from the controller and activate the sensor. The controller’s sensor light should change status, and watering should stop or be prevented. On SmartLine and ProLine controllers, a sensor light typically indicates an active rain or freeze pause or an extended rain-delay period after the sensor dries. Normal watering resumes when the sensor clears, unless the delay is manually bypassed.
