DIG 28 - 60 PSI Adjustable Pressure Regulator 3/4 in. FPT

  • Size: 3/4 in.
  • Flow Rate: 0 - 22 GPM
  • Connection: Female Pipe Thread

Features & Benefits

Direct-acting pressure regulators are specifically designed for use where accurate and reliable control of line pressure is required, regardless of fluctuations in upstream pressure and/or flow. The use of a rolling diaphragm completely separates the spring assembly from dirt or contaminants in the flow stream and provides long, trouble-free service while ensuring immediate response to flow and pressure variations.

Product Details

  • Flow Rates: .2-22 GPM (.045-5 m3/h)
  • Pressure Range: 28-60 PSI (.8-4 BAR)
  • Maximum Working Pressure: 125 PSI (8.6 BAR)
  • Weight: .75 lb (.34 kg)
  • Dimensions: 4" H x 3.44" W (10 cm H x 19 cm W)
  • Adjustable with a single screw
  • Rolling diaphragm keeps the spring assembly free of debris
  • Reliable control regardless of fluctuations in upstream pressure or flow

Installation

The point of connection to the high-pressure water supply can start from an in-line or anti-siphon valve, well or pump.

Installation into in-line valve or into a pipe thread

  • If installation is into a PVC pipe, first shut off the main water supply.
  • We recommend installing a 3/4 in. ball valve or gate valve before the valve. This ball valve can be very useful as an emergency backup to turn the system off. This type of arrangement is used by professional installers.
  • Turn the water supply on to flush the line and then shut the water supply off using the new ball valve or gate valve.
  • Install the AC valve or battery-operated controller, wrapping pipe wrap tape on all the male thread fittings used.
  • Turn the water supply on again to pressurize the system. The unit will open momentarily and then will shut off.
  • To the outlet of a drip irrigation zone, install a 3/4 in. screen filter with 120 to 150 mesh for drip system protection. Next, add the adjustable pressure regulator that can be used to lower the incoming system pressure to any desired pressure between 28 and 60 PSI. Higher pressures may be used for conventional sprinkler systems. Follow with a 3/4 in. PVC female thread x slip adapter to the PVC pipe.
  • Test the valve using the manual bleed. Check that the system is working and that there are no leaks.

Note: To read the correct pressure, check the pressure at the end of the line or at the last drip emitter on the line. To adjust the pressure, turn the water off, remove the red cap (protecting the red screw) and turn the screw using a screwdriver, clockwise to reduce pressure or counter clock wise to increase it.
