EZ-FLO Main Line Systems attach directly to your in-ground sprinkler and/or drip irrigation system. Every time you use your irrigation system, EZ-FLO releases small, precision doses of water soluble or liquid non-hazardous fertilizers into the water stream on a consistent basis. One system will feed through both sprinkler and drip irrigation zones without the need to make any adjustments or nozzle changes to compensate for water flow or water pressure.
Main Line Systems have been designed to connect directly to your irrigation system after an approved backflow prevention device. They are designed to withstand constant static water pressure present in your irrigation system. These units are constructed of heavy-walled, UV-Resistant PVC and have no moving parts making them very reliable, dependable and maintenance-free.
The High Capacity version of our Main Line Systems includes a proprietary fill system allowing the tanks to double their water-soluble capacity. With this filling system, there is no need to remove the proportioning cap to add products. Additionally, the High Capacity models feature a larger drain valve, an automatic air vent valve, and a schedule 80 PVC body for added protection and durability. These units are constructed of heavy-walled, UV-Resistant PVC and have no moving parts, making them very reliable, dependable, and maintenance-free.
You Will Need An EZ-FLO Coupling Connector w/Ball Valve ; please choose the correct connector for your application when adding this item to your cart. Or you can buy one of our EZ-Flo kits that include the CBV connector .
Size the Model to your Landscape
What size model you choose to order is dependent on a few factors:
In the end, this last point is the one that is the ultimate determining factor. If you want to refill less frequently, simply go up in size. If you do not mind refilling more often, then you can get by with a smaller size than what would be recommended. The following table identifies a typical landscape configuration and sizes that can be served with each EZ-FLO main line model along with other sizing information.
Please note that coverage levels assume a 4-6 week desired fertilizer refill cycle for EZ001-CX to EZ010-FX models. High capacity models (designated as HC) are designed for commercial landscapes serviced by professional maintenance companies. Property sizing for those units is based on a 2-3 week refill schedule. Growers and nurseries use other sizing metrics (pounds per square foot and PPM) which can be found in their related web pages..
We recommend the tank size based on the area of coverage (the irrigated area). The EZ003-CX is recommended for 15,000 square feet for the irrigated area. The size of the tank determines the refill frequency. Larger tanks can feed larger landscapes thereby extending refill times. Conversely, if you refill more often, larger landscapes can be fed with a single system.

EZ-FLO's patented flow technologies ensure that the proportion of fertilizer to water remains constant from the beginning of the cycle until the tank is depleted of fertilizer. All EZ-FLO fertigation units have an adjustable cap with four reference settings corresponding to the amount of fertilizer mixed with the water: The cap can also be set at points between these four reference settings for unlimited adjustment flexibility within the maximum and minimum proportioning rates for the cap.
EZ-FLO Fertigation technology has been in development over the last ten years. As of 2007, EZ-FLO has received 9 issued US Patents and 2 International Patents covering its unique fluid flow technologies and has tens of thousands of units operating in actual field use. Our patents cover the connection couplings as well as the flow process whereby fertilizer is accurately proportioned in the tank cap for release to the irrigation water stream.
One of the unique attributes of an EZ-FLO system is its ability to precisely proportion fertilizer concentrate into a water stream in an extremely accurate manner. We call this "Micro-Dosing". Not only is the amount of fertilizer concentrate proportioned accurately but the individual fertilizer elements of N-P-K are also in consistent ratios when exiting the irrigation system from beginning of the fill cycle to the end of the cycle.
Many people erroneously assume that fertilizer in the EZ-FLO tank is simply diluted as it goes through an entire cycle. However as can be seen above, dilution does not really occur in the way most people think. Almost all of the dilution occurs in the tank cap where we can control it and in the irrigation line where the nutrified water rejoins the rest of the clear water.
EZ-FLO's patented flow technologies effectively create an "invisible bladder"that separates the clear water entering the tank from the fertilizer concentrate at the bottom of the tank. As clear water is introduced into the tank, it arrives in a number of areas. Port water inlets at the top of the tank create a clear layer of water that separates it from the fertilizer concentrate. Additionally a micro-jet agitation nozzle at the bottom of the tank "gently" agitates the heavier fertilizer concentrate, keeping the resulting semi-dissolved solution at even chemical concentration levels leaving the tank. Because of this 'invisible bladder effect" there is no real dilution of the suspended N-P-K in the tank through out most of the tank cycle. Only when you get to the end of the tank contents do the NPK percentages fall off
EZ-FLO Systems can be installed in minutes. We recommend that they be installed in an underground valve box (36 x 24 x 24 ) but they can also be hidden under decorative rocks or housed in above ground structures when necessary. The only requirement is that they be installed after an approved backflow prevention device as determined by local plumbing code.
EZ-FLO main line systems are installed after the backflow prevention device and normally before the irrigation zone valves to allow the unit to feed all irrigation zones.
In this configuration, when an irrigation zone valve is turned on, the EZ-FLO fertigation unit automatically adjusts to pressure and flow and precisely meters out the appropriate fertilizer based on the water volume flowing into that zone.
EZ-FLO main line units can also be installed after the zone valve or directly in-front of a single zone valve or multiple zone valves if you want to isolate a zone(s) from the other zone(s). An example is shown to the right and could be for a larger irrigation system that services lots of open turf but the owner wants to focus on their flower beds or in the case of a municipal park, just the baseball field.
