The Rain Bird Sensor Decoder for the ESP LXD 2-wire decoder controller allows for integration of select flow and weather sensors at any point along the 2-wire system. It comes pre-programmed with a unique five-digit address, allowing for installation of multiple sensors along the 2-wire layout. The built-in surge protection also allows for protection of not only the decoder but the sensors and nearby decoders as well. See note below.
Note: Because the FD-401, FD-601and SD-210 have surge protection already incorporated into the decoder, the 2-Wire path surge protection requirement could be stated in the following manner: The 2-Wire path shall be surge protected and grounded with one LSP-1, FD-401, FD-601, or SD-210 every 500 feet or every 8 decoders, whichever is smaller.
