Troubleshooting
Cause | Solution |
1. Flow control full open | 1. Prevent diaphragm from opening further than necessary by trimming the flow control to one-half turn above the position where proper sprinkler distance is achieved. |
2. More than one valve open at a time draws down inlet pressure and the valve has trouble closing. | 2. Utilize station delay feature of controller, or change station timing or sequence to prevent two high flow valves from being on at the same time. |
3. Diaphragm/valve seat fouled or damaged | 3. Flush valve with manual bleed. Remove diaphragm and inspect diaphragm and valve seat for damage or debris. Clean or replace the diaphragm and reassemble the valve. |
4. Diaphragm damaged or misaligned | 4. Turn off water and remove the bonnet. Check alignment of the diaphragm with the valve body, inspect the diaphragm for nicks or damage. Realign or replace the diaphragm as necessary. |
5. Blocked diaphragm filter or pilot hole | 5. Blocked diaphragm filter or pilot hole |
