The RainMachine has the ability to gather meteorological data from multiple data sources, like: NOAA, WUnderground, NetAtmo, FAWN, CIMIS, Mesonet, Davis, Metno, DarkSky, Deutscher Wetterdienst, Australian Bureau of Meteorology and Open Weather Map, humans and machines can access weather data streams such as: max temperature, minimum temperature, humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, water vapor pressure, amount of precipitation.
These national and international weather services provide pin-point and reliable and free up-to-date weather forecasts. Imagine a chorus of voices singing in unison, if one voice stops, the song will still go on. That way, your garden can rely on accurate data on which to base watering schedules.
The RainMachine protects your garden against unexpected hot or freezing conditions. For example, it ceases to water if temperature goes below a preset value.
