Combination reducing bushings join spigot connections to female pipe thread (FPT) connections. Our durable schedule 40 combination bushings are for creating reducing connections with PVC pipe. A reducing connection is one that joins a pipe of a larger size with a pipe of a smaller size; for example, if you used 1 inch PVC pipe throughout your sprinkler system, but had a 3/4 inch water meter, you would use a reducing bushing to make that connection.
