Features & Benefits

The PGV-151 is a Globe / Angle Valve. It has inlets on both the side and bottom allowing for great flexibility. Many times the irrigation mainline is installed much deeper than the systems lateral lines. This may be due to local codes or for freeze protection. For these situations, Hunter offers 1½" and 2" valves with a globe/angle configuration in one valve.

The globe configuration offers the best choice for those systems that have the mainline at the same depth as the laterals. The angled configuration allows the installer to place the valve on top of a deep mainline, which allows easy access to the valve for maintenance. In addition, the PGV angle configuration boasts a lower pressure loss across the valve compared to a globe-style valve, providing a big advantage on systems that may experience low operating pressures.

This valve has Flow Control which allows the fine-tuning of flow and pressure for the zone. This maximizes the efficiency of the zone and helps to prevent misting which can occur if the pressure is too high.
