Great value, very reliable.
I started using Rain Birds three years ago after I got tired of having to do annual maintenance on another brand that I'd been using. I went three years without having to touch them and I'm still not convinced that the solenoid failure I finally in two of them was not my fault. I would definitely buy these again!

Great products at a great price
I ordered 11 valves and 30 heads from sprinklerwarehouse and I could not be more more happy that I did. For starters the order arrived within the time stayed, the products were of great quality, and work flawlessly. I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future. Thank you and keep up the good work.

i have an old system that uses Rain Bird 3/4-Inch Standard Grade Anti-Siphon Valve #APAS-075. Do you have that part? Do you know what can replace it?
A shopper on Mar 19, 2012
BEST ANSWER: I have an older system as well, I replaced mine with a 075ASVF - 3/4 in. it looks a bit different than the original but serves the same function,
What is the basic difference between the 075 and 100 ASVF? Appears to be the circumference of the connection. I have a large number of valves. I purchased the 100 ASVF prior and then used the screw in adapters to install. Any difference other than the circumference in these two valves...?
Jack M on May 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The only difference between the 075 and the 100 is the connection. The 075 will need to connect to a 3/4in male adapter where as the 100 will need to connect to a 1in male adapter.
I am changing out two old APAS-075 valves that no longer work. What do you recommend I use to replace them? Working in a tight area in the valve box and looking at your literature. Looks to me like the best fit is the 075-ASVF, which is about 3/4" more center to center?

What is the required pvc length between tees when creating a manifold if I buy 5 of them? Want to ensure they can be removed but close together
A shopper on Nov 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Just measure the longest spots on the top black caps for both the inlet and outlet. This will be the minimum distance you need, because the valve needs at least that much clearance to spin around, on the threads. Add perhaps another inch, and you should have plenty of room to remove a valve. I used unions on at least 1 pipe, either inlet, or outlet pipe, so I can slide it up/down and have at least one side free.
no water coming from valve?
A shopper on Sep 5, 2011
BEST ANSWER: They have a bleed screw, try it first, then be sure the valve is installed correctly ie; with the in side to the supply line and the out going to the sprinkler(s) it controls. There is also a troubleshooting portion to the on-line user guide pdf file.
is this valve a slip on glue it type or a screw on type? i need to replace 2 of mine. can not tell by looking.
david h on Sep 8, 2012
BEST ANSWER: You will need a 3/4 inch screw in connector that you will glue to the 3/4 inch PVC pipe.
What is the extra piece on top of the solenoid? Do I take it off? Seems like it doesn't belong there.
Billy J on May 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The extra piece is actuallly a handle. It snaps over the top of the selenoid and makes it easier to manually open the valve by turning it a quarter turn. From what I have seen mostly only the commercial valves have them. I like having them it makes it easier to open the valves. If you don't like them you can remove them. You do have to have a little more room between the valves so the handles don't bump each other.
Should I use a anti Siphon valve on all stations?
Sean W on Nov 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Depending on your local building codes, you typically must have an anti-siphon device separating your irrigation system from your potable (house) water system. You can use one anti-siphon device in the supply line in front of a gang of standard valves, or use anti-siphon valves for each station. I have elected to use the anti-siphon valves on each station and have had them in service for many years with good results.
can valve used in the vertical position ???
A shopper on Jul 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Although the valve was designed to operate in an upright position, I see no reason why it wouldn't work in a vertical position.

What is "flow control" and if my valve has this do I need a pressure regulator?
iftekhar r on Sep 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If this is for sprinklers you can use the "flow control" on the valve if pressure is too high. If for drip, you should install the pressure regulator to deal with pressure fluctuation, not so critical with sprinklers.

Eddie F on Mar 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I now you can buy parts, but I am not sure that they are packaged as a kit.
DOROTHY K on Aug 15, 2014

What is the c-c spacing of inlet & outlet on the ASVF 3/4" valve?
A shopper on May 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is a valid question, because no two valves have ever been the same. Every time the manufacturers march out their new offerings every year, they change things just for the sake of change. This particular valve has a spacing of 3 7/8" ctr/ctr. Cheers.
I need to replace old rainbird valves. Apas 075. Looking for "plug-n-play" with no repiping rquired. Is the ASVF the answer?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Direct replacement. However, since both types of valves have a threaded body, you'll have to figure out how you're going to get both threaded pipes out of the old valve-then get the new valves threaded onto the existing pipes. I use 3/4 plastic unions on at least one of the 2 pipes.
On sprinkler valve description, what is the difference between FNPT and FPT?
Joyce D on Jul 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These are terms for the pipe thread used and mean the same thing. Basically they are 3/4 in tapered threads and it's required that you use Teflon tape on the attaching PVC fitting to assure a leak proof seal with the valve.
What is the spacing between the ports? I'm hoping it's 3"
A shopper on Jul 5, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Sorry it is around 4 inches on center. Great valves though, had zero problems with the valves after 2 years of use. Shouldn't be a big issue with PVC piping.
Is there an adjustment on this valve so it will close slower and prevent water hammer ?
