The Hunter ICV Series Irrigation Valve: An Industrial Strength Plastic Sprinkler Valve that Offers Superior Durability
The Hunter ICV commercial sprinkler valve is a prime example of today's technological capabilities. This new irrigation and sprinkler valve is as rugged, durable and reliable as any commercial sprinkler valve on the market, even those made of solid brass. The Hunter ICV-Series Valve can withstand a pressure rating of up to 200 psi and can handle the continual hammering that such forces will produce.
The Hunter ICV-Series Valve is designed to handle the wide range of conditions that different commercial sites will bring; this irrigation valve offers a fabric reinforced diaphragm that provides flow control as a standard feature. In addition; the Hunter ICV Valve is extremely easy to service; since the valve's bonnet fasteners can be loosened and tightened using a variety of common contractor tools. For a long-lasting valve that can deliver reliable performance in commercial sprinkler and irrigation systems, this is the heavy duty workhorse you're after.
Filter Sentry: Minimize Contamination; Maximize Performance
Dirt. It's an irrigation valve's biggest enemy. But aren't filters supposed to keep a irrigation valve dirt free? Well; most can keep out the big stuff; but what about the microscopic particles - like minerals and algae - that can build up on the diaphragm filter?
After all, that's the kind of contamination that over time, can lead to premature failure of the sprinkler valve. This is why Hunter developed a scouring mechanism that is continuously at work whenever the valve is operating. It's an option that we call Filter Sentry and when it comes to valve performance; there's no better way to stand guard over dirt.
Minimize Contamination and Maximize Performance With ICV Filter Sentry
Aren't filters supposed to keep dirt and other contaminants out of your sprinkler valve? Most filters can and do keep out the big stuff, but it's the microscopic particles like minerals and algae that can build up over time and lead to premature failure of the irrigation valve.
The Hunter ICV-Series Valve's standard filter has four times the surface area of some manufacturers' valves. That can be a great start for keeping clean the water that travels up into the valve bonnet. However; even these large filters can still become clogged by large amounts of debris found in dirty water - that is, reclaimed water, wells, lakes, ponds and the like.
With the Hunter ICV Filter Sentry cleaning system, the filter is scoured clean by a wiper seal as it slides up the filter when the valve opens. The wiper continues to provide scrubbing action on the upper part of the filter during valve operation. The Hunter ICV Filter Sentry always strokes the full length of the filter; independent of flow control adjustments. Other self-cleaning filter systems are restricted in their cleaning ability when the diaphragm travel height above the body seat is restricted due to any flow control adjustments.
Hunter ICV Filter Sentry can be factory installed when a Hunter ICV-Series Valve is purchased or installers and maintenance personnel can add the unit to an existing Hunter ICV, quickly and easily out in the field.
Excellent in these dirty water situations; Hunter ICV Filter Sentry can give your valve extra insurance in "clean water" applications,; as well.
